headed back to the southwest!

i leave you with a few snapshots of my drive down to sedonaaz.  you'll have to excuse the bug guts all over the windshield.

the grand sawtooths...cold as wiz

after making a pit-stop in twin falls, my friend sam and i, headed up to the sawtooth wilderness to camp and hike for a few days.  it was early spring there so there was snow everywhere and many of the trails were unable to pass through.  we trudged through mounds of snow, icy rivers, and swarms of mosquitos.  i was wearing long sleeved thermals and my shoulders still managed to be covered in bites.  all of the towns we passed through on the way to the sawtooths were cute little tourist towns with log-style lodges, restaurants, and shops.  even though we had to turn around after getting so far on the trails, the trip was great!

i made a stop in las vegas with my friend for a few days.  not my thing to say the least, but it was great to hang out with lindsay and lay by the pool!

the niagara falls of the west..

ah...doesn't this just look refreshing? too bad you weren't allowed to swim in it.  the falls are free flowing and generate enough electricity for 9,000 homes.  pretty cool.  there was a constant rainbow going across the water.  other than look at the falls i'm not sure there's much else to do in twin falls.

it's the mini-grand canyon!

today we roamed up, down, and all around the canyonlands. it was so grand and beautiful, it might have just been to big for my tiny brain to comprehend...

the arches..

everyone needs to be reminded every once in a while of how grand nature and God is and how small we truly are.  the delicate arch has been my favorite, perhaps you can see why.

i think i'm in love, with moab, that is..

first stop on my trip was moab, ut!! this town is so stinking cute i think i could get stuck here forever.   my friend lindsay drove down to bum around and hike with me for a few days.  there are so many photos that i want to put on here, but i will have to do with just posting my favorites.
